FAQ

Viactiv Omega Boost

What is rTG fish oil?

rTG stands for “re-esterfied triglyceride.” Omega-3s from fish oil come most commonly in two forms: cleaned triglycerides (rTG) or ethyl esters (EE). When we eat fish, the Omega-3s we receive from the fish are in an rTG form. Research shows us that this form is approximately 3X more absorbable and beneficial than the EE form.

Why do I need to take Viactiv Omega Boost?

Supportive research shows that consumption of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids helps maintain a healthy cardiovascular system as well as the total body (heart, brain, eyes, and joints).

Why is Viactiv Omega Boost in a Gel Bite formulation?

The Gel Bite is a patented dosage form which masks the taste of fish oil and allows higher levels of fish oil than can be found in gummies. This dosage form has also been shown to provide enhanced absorption versus standard soft gels.

Why was Calcium Carbonate chosen for the calcium source in the Calcium soft chews?

Calcium Carbonate was chosen because of its high level of elemental calcium (40%) compared to Calcium Citrate (21%). This allows us to get most calcium in each chew.

Does it matter what time of day the Calcium soft chews are consumed?

No, you can take them at any time of day. However, the calcium is better absorbed when taken with food or on a full stomach. Only one chew should be taken at a time. If taking 2 chews to get 100% Daily Value of your calcium – it is best to spread them out throughout the day to maximize absorption.
